A WEATHER warning for ice and potentially some snowfall has been issued across Dorset - but the chances of seeing snow are unlikely for Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

Dorset is in for a wild and windy night, with gusts of up to 65mph forecast from midnight onwards.

Sleep and you'll miss it: we did get #thundersnow last night (although that's not what you could hear in Poole at 5pm)

SO, we didn't wake up to a blanket of snow this morning - but many people were treated to thundersnow - a rare phenomenon for the UK where a thunderstorm produces snow instead of rain.
