HEAVY rain and spring tides sparked flooding at a park in Poole.
The park is water-logged and residents say it is 'impossible to walk around the perimeter.'
The park borders Poole Harbour, and as a result of strong winds and high tides, the water levels rose quickly, and the whole park became sodden.
Shirley Robinson, who is from Hamworthy, was out for her morning walk when she snapped some pictures of the flood.
She said: "Last night the storm was quite bad.
"This morning, I didn't expect it to be quite so bad."
Shirley said the park floods often as waves splash over the walls and into the park.
She said: "I had to double back and walk the other way because the water was so deep, I couldn't get through."
She added: "The area often floods; I've seen beach huts floating in the middle of the water."
A Spokesperson for BCP Council said:
“Hamworthy Park is subject to tidal flooding during more extreme weather that impacts tidal levels. The water will begin to recede when the tide goes out.
"Hamworthy Park has flood embankments to mitigate the risk of floodwaters reaching any properties within the local area.
“We would ask people to not enter the flood waters and avoid the flooded area until the water has cleared.”
