The Bournemouth Air Festival is back!
The event,named one of the best air shows in the world by American newspaper USA Today, will see the Red Arrows display each day for the first time. The Typhoon Eurofighter, the Avro Vulcan and new for 2014, the Canadian Lancaster will all take to the skies.
Also on show will be the Tutor and Tucano training aircraft, the iconic Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and the hulking Chinook helicopter.
And new for this year, the world’s first jet-powered bomber, the Canberra will also display.

Judging of the 2014 Daily Echo and Castle Cameras Air Festival photographic competition has taken place with over 400 entries to deliberate over. We challenged our readers to come up with their best photo that captured the essence of the Air Festival 2014 – which was one of the most successful Air Festivals to be held.

Aviation fans got a treat on Saturday afternoon as the only remaining airworthy Lancaster bombers took to the skies over Bournemouth.
