STRONG winds are set to batter Dorset’s coastline, the Met Office has warned.
The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for along the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole coastline, through Purbeck and up to Weymouth.
The yellow warning has been issued for Tuesday, April 9 at 1am to lunchtime the same day.
Strong winds are expected to bring “hazardous” conditions to the sea, according to the forecaster.
The Met Office said: “Strong winds are likely to bring hazardous coastal conditions and could cause some inland disruption.
“It’s likely that some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities will be affected by spray and/or large waves
“Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely. Some short term loss of power and other services is possible.”
The latest warning follows Storm Kathleen. Although no warning was issued for Dorset, there still has been strong winds that caused the Condor ferry service from Poole to the Channel Islands to be suspended.
