THIS timely autumn cocktail is just the thing to warm the cockles on chilly nights.
Dubbed Nutty Alexander, the beverage comes courtesy of Liam Savage, manager of Penn Central in Penn Hill.
35ml brandy
25ml chocolate liqueur
25ml frangelico
25ml milk
25ml cream
cinnamon, for dusting
Add all the ingredient apart from the cinnamon to your mixing glass, add ice and shake hard until ice cold (about 30 seconds). Strain your ingredients into a high ball glass.
Holding a flame over the drink, lightly dust with cinnamon (this way as the cinnamon falls down to the drink it hits the flame and caramelises before landing in the drink).
The ingredients can also be put in a saucepan and heated up to make it into a nice warm drink for the winter evenings.
