IF you love cake, here's your chance to bake a difference for a good cause.

Diverse Abilities is hosting a Great Dorset Vintage Bake Sale, to mark its 60th anniversary year on Friday May 1.

This is the fourth annual bake sale event the charity has run and this year it is taking a vintage twist to celebrate its diamond anniversary.

Beccy Briley, corporate and community fundraiser at Diverse Abilities, said: “Following on from the success of the previous events, we hope that the Great Dorset Vintage Bake Sale is even bigger and everyone in Dorset gets involved and joins with friends, family or colleagues over some delicious cake! Over the past three years, more than £10,000 has been raised for Diverse Abilities by our Great Dorset bakers and we hope everyone that signs up raises vital funds for the charity’s essential work.”

Simon Nightingale from HLF Solicitors and Town Planners, who are sponsoring the event said: "The Great Dorset Vintage Bake Sale is a wonderful opportunity for community groups, businesses, families and friends to support such a worthwhile charity and enjoy themselves in the process.”

Everyone that signs-up will receive a fundraising pack with vintage accessories to decorate on the day, bake sale tips, cake recipes to choose from and how to make your Great Dorset Vintage Bake Sale event a success,
