A GREAT Gatsby-themed afternoon tea extravaganza will take place at a top Christchurch hotel this month.
The Kings Hotel in Christchurch will host the first Live on the Lawn event on Saturday July 27 at the picturesque bowling green opposite their Castle Street hotel.
The bowling green will come alive with a host of activities including a roaring 1920s afternoon tea at the Pavilion and jazz and blues music.
There will also be live theatre, lots of activities for youngsters including a giant inflatable slide, face painting and more.
And there will also be complimentary bowling from Christchurch Bowling Club.
The event is to support the members of the long-running bowling club.
The event will take place from 3pm. A full Great Gatsby afternoon tea costs £12.50 per person for £100 for a table of 10.
