DORSET-BASED charity Diverse Abilities Plus is gearing up for this year’s Great Dorset Bake Sale in May.
The charity is encouraging the whole of the county to get involved in the week long-event from Monday, May 6 to Sunday, May 12 with bake sales and coffee mornings.
Following on from the success of last year’s event, which raised nearly £5,000 for Diverse Abilities Plus, the event hopes to raise even more vital funds for the charity’s essential work supporting local children and adults with physical and learning disabilities.
Beccy Payne, community fundraising officer at Diverse Abilities Plus, said: “The Great Dorset Bake Sale is a fantastic opportunity to get in the kitchen and raise vital funds for a local charity, especially for those keen bakers out there.
“Anyone can get involved - businesses, schools, local clubs, families or individuals; the more the merrier!”
