The streets of Bournemouth are filled with an array of styles this Autumn/Winter, from checked shirts and scarves, to eclectic patterns. Here are some of our favourite trends to look out for, styled by some fashion forward students.

Daniel Campos, 20

Bournemouth Echo:

Jumper - GAP, Top - Calvin Klein, Shirt - Abercrombie and Fitch, Jeans - H&M, Shoes - Vans, Headphones - Apple, Bag - Burton.

This casual outfit is perfect for the weekend! The western style check shirt flaunts a laid back look, very popular among a lot of students. Daniel’s red and blue lumberjack works harmoniously with his hoody and cool trainers, making the ensemble simple yet effective.

Ava Radpour, 22

Bournemouth Echo:

Scarf – Accessorize, Coat – Monki, Bag – Michael Kors, Watch - Michael Kors, Jeans – Bikbok, Shoes – Jeffery Campbell Lita Boots, Necklace – Kiks, Top – Dorothy Perkins

This statement scarf brings this classic all black look to another level. Ava Radpour knows how to keep warm this winter with a stylish patterned accessory. She ties her outfit together with leather Jeffery Campbell’s, injecting a touch of street style and designer combined. A perfect transitional outfit from day to night-time.

Tim Andres, 20

Bournemouth Echo:

Bournemouth Echo:

Top - Topman, Jacket - Ebay, Jeans - ASOS, Trainers - Footlocker, Bracelets/Rings - Topman, Bag – Ebay, Bracelet on left hand – Nike fuel band

Tim Andres embraces a bold graphic top that I’m sure will turn a few heads. He pairs his quirky tee with a seasonal, staple bomber jacket, suited to both guys and girls. Tim claims he likes to be creative with his style, and we can certainly see that from his cute doughnut socks, put together with newly released Adidas ZX Flux’s.

Mariam Colley, 18

Bournemouth Echo:

Coat – Oasis, Dress - Oasis, Shoes – Oasis, Bag - Zara, Glasses – Specsavers

Two of the biggest trends for this season have arrived on the high streets of Bournemouth: monochrome and pink coats. Mariam wears a pastel pink coat over a simple patterned black and white dress. But try not to over-do the monochrome print, as this could result in you impersonating a French mime. However Mariam pulls the look off perfectly, incorporated both trends and accessorizing her outfit with a simple tassel bag and cute pointed ballerinas.

Diana Jenkins, 17 and Alex Avenia, 19

Bournemouth Echo:

Alex: Jumper - Zara, Shirt - Lacoste, Belt - Harrods, Trousers – River Island, Sunglasses – Raybans. Diana: Top - Miss Selfridge, Jeans – Topshop, Boots - Miss Selfridge.

This fashionable duo are giving designers a run for their money with their effortless and affordable outfits. Diana sticks to simple shapes and solid colours with minimal detailing. Whereas Alex tailors a preppy look with a white shirt nested under a cosy jumper and smart loafers. Introducing the power couple!
