PAMELA Youlden was born in Fulham, London on February 26, 1934 to Edith and Horace Crampton. She had one older and three younger brothers.

The family lived in London through most of the war years and Pam went to five different schools, due to bomb damage.

In the last year of the war they were evacuated to North Devon but returned following the loss of her youngest brother.

The family lived at South Ealing and Pam worked as a stock controller.

In 1953 she met her future husband Ron at the local dance hall.

Four years later they married and moved to Hayes, Middlesex.

They had their son David in 1959 and their daughter Janice in 1961.

The family moved to Broadstone, Poole in 1964.

While the children were young Pam worked as an assistant at Hillbourne School before becoming an electronic inspector at Plessey and Seigers.

On July 9, 1982 she became a magistrate and regularly sat at Poole Court, becoming a grandmother to Hayley and Ella.

The much-loved grandmother and great-grandmother gave up full-time employment to enjoy her growing family and devote more time to her magistrate’s duties.

Pam loved taking the whole family on holiday abroad and in the UK.

Every Christmas she would invite her growing brood to her home for the festive celebrations.

An extremely giving and kind person, she went out of her way to help those in need.

Sadly, Pam had a massive stroke on August 26 and passed away peacefully in Poole Hospital two days later with her family at her bedside.

Pam’s funeral at Poole Crematorium on September 5 was well attended by her family, friends and colleagues from the bench.
