Several pets in Dorset are looking for their forever homes, including at the Ashley Heath Animal Centre.

Located on the border with Hampshire, the centre offers care for its animals in rural surroundings.

A few animals from the centre are listed below but more can be found on the centre's website.

Rusty

Bournemouth Echo: RustyRusty (Image: RSPCA)

Gender - Male

Age - Six years old

Breed - Doberman

Colour - Brown/Tan

If you want to adopt Rusty you can view their full profile here.

Rusty is described as an affectionate dog and a "loyal soul" who loves nothing more than to hang out with people.

The RSPCA is looking for quite a specific home for Rusty as he is reactive towards the sight of other dogs, resulting in lots of barking and pulling hard on the lead.

He has made good progress on a rehabilitation plan but the management techniques will need to continue in his new home.

Rusty will need a rural/semi-rural home so that he can be exercised away from other dogs.

He would perhaps suit someone who is experienced with Dobermans, or who knows what to expect living with a reactive dog.

Cleopatra

Gender - Female

Age - 10 years old

Breed - Domestic Shorthair crossbreed

Colour - Black and White

If you want to adopt Cleopatra you can view their full profile here.

Cleopatra came to Ashley Heath due to her previous owner being unable to care for her any longer.

She can be a little shy and enjoys spending a lot of time in her bed or relaxing in her yard at the RSPCA centre.

The RSPCA adds: "We feel that Cleopatra may get used to children 10 years and older, but she is to be the only pet in the household. Not to be rehomed within 5 miles of Gosport PO13."

Mia

Bournemouth Echo: MiaMia (Image: RSPCA)

Gender - Female

Age - Six to 12 months old

Breed - Crossbreed/Unknown

Colour - Tan and Black

If you want to adopt Mia you can view their full profile here.

Mia is described as an "affectionate and playful" dog who enjoys plenty of fuss and attention and knows lots of basic commands.

She has missed out on some crucial early learning so the RSPCA is seeking an experienced home with owners who will be able to appropriately and carefully expose Mia to real life as a pet dog.

Mia would suit a calm quiet home with a secure garden to relax and play in.

The RSPCA adds: "It is also essential for Mia to attend training classes to ensure she learns life skills and continues building on her basic training."

Diego

Bournemouth Echo: DiegoDiego (Image: RSPCA)

Gender - Male

Age - Five years old

Breed - Domestic Semi crossbreed

Colour - Black and White

If you want to adopt Diego you can view their full profile here.

Diego came to Ashley Heath after being abandoned by his previous owner and he now wishes to find a loving new home.

He is quite nervous of people so will need understanding owners to help settle him in.

Ideally, he would have a room of his own whilst settling before being introduced to the rest of the house.

The RSPCA adds: "Diego may get used to another cat, given the time and space to settle. No dogs. Could live with children teens plus."
