POLICE were called to a crash at Chapel Gate Roundabout this morning.

The two-vehicle crash was reported at 9.18am and is believed to have involved a car and a bus.

Officers attended the scene and the ambulance service was also notified.

No one was injured in the crash and a Dorset Police spokesperson said there had been damage to the vehicles.

Police had left the scene by 10.40am.

Work to resurface Chapel Gate roundabout was scheduled to take place Thursday and Friday night but has been postponed.

Engineers had been due to treat the road surface just months after a major improvement scheme was completed.

However, Dorset County Council said that due to “material supply issues”, the work had to be postponed.

Delays of 25-minutes were also reported on the A348 Ringwood Road due to roadworks taking place between Longham and Bear Cross.

Engineers are carrying out work to install new underground ducting for fibre optic cables.
