REGARDING the letter on the Odeon printed in August 21, I felt I must write to support the new iSense cinema experience.

Myself and my partner went to watch Dunkirk last Sunday and had a very different experience.

It should be pointed out that there are other options to watch the films in other formats ie 2D and 3D.

I am moderately deaf and wear hearing aids and I rely on lip reading much of the time. My aids obviously also amplify sound.

This was the first time in many, many years that I could enjoy a film and not struggle to hear...not because of the volume but because of the pure clarity of the sound.

It was not over loud but wonderfully clear and an amazing experience. I came out raving about it to everyone and it was well worth the extra cost.

My partner has normal, good hearing and was also surprised at the letter complaining. He did not find the film unduly loud and also enjoyed the experience.

We are obviously all different but the new complex does cater for this and if the iSense doesn't suit you then attend a normal screening. I thought it was very gracious of the manager to respond to the complainant and give him further free tickets.

I hope this won't be the start of a campaign by a minority which spoils the enjoyment for the rest of us.
