Are you nutty for a spot of crazy golf?

If so, you’re in luck as we’ve put together a round-up of some of the best courses in the area to try out this summer.

Bournemouth Gardens Mini Golf, Lower Gardens

Bournemouth Echo:

An oldie but a goodie. This 18-hole course is often packed out with holidaymakers and locals alike wanting to put their skills to the test.

There are no windmills or other moving obstacles to negotiate here.

However, you will face slopes and your ability to be able to hit a ball in a straight line will be tested!

The course includes 12 accessible holes which are suitable for people with reduced mobility or wheelchair users.

This course does get busy at key times during the summer, so be prepared to queue.

Open from 10am to 9pm in July and August or until 10pm if there’s an event on in the gardens.

Costs £4.20 for adults, £2.80 for under 16s and £13 for a family of four.

New Forest Adventure Golf, Lymington Golf Centre

The new kid on the block, this adventure course only opened earlier this month.

The challenging 18-hole course, which is part of Walhampton Golf Centre, is styled around notable landmarks of the area.

Each hole is named after a town or village in the New Forest but the star attraction is the Lymington Ferry which players have to board to cross the river on two occasions throughout their round.

Open from 10am each day through the summer. Last admission is around 6pm but closing time is dependent on the weather.

Entry costs £7 per adult, £4.50 for children or £20 for a family of four.

Mini golf at Boscombe Pier

Bournemouth Echo:

Ever heard of a golf course where the balls feed the fish?

Last year, Boscombe became the first place in the UK to open an eco-friendly mini golf attraction.

The course, which zig-zags along the pier, finishes with players hitting the ball through the hole at the end.

Once the balls, known as an Ecobioball, hit the water, they biodegrade in less than 48 hours, releasing the fish food inside the ball.

Open every day from 10am to 5pm until September 30, 2017.

Sandbanks Crazy Golf

Bournemouth Echo:

A lighthouse? Tick. A bridge? Tick. Slopes? Tick. A loop-the-loop? Tick.

This 18 hole golf course located right next to Sandbanks beach has it all.

Watch out for the Vesuvius at the 16th hole which will test your patience!

Open every day until Sunday, November 2, 2017 from 10am to 6pm, weather permitting.

Costs £6 for adults, £4 for under 16s, £4 for seniors and £18.50 for a family of five.

Oasis Fun Golf, Glen Fern Road

Bournemouth Echo: AFC Bournemouth Manager Eddie Howe opens The Oasis at Glen Fern Road in Bournemouth. ...

The British weather can sometimes be against us over summer but just because it's raining doesn't mean you can't play a bit of crazy golf.

The Oasis indoor leisure complex , which was opened by Eddie Howe in October, features a rainforest-themed adventure golf course.

It also boasts a bowling alley, soft play area and an American-style diner.

Costs £4 for children aged under 6 and £6 for those aged 6 and over.

Boscombe Chine Gardens mini golf

Bournemouth Echo:

Right in the heart of Boscombe Chine Gardens, this 18-hole course is a short walk from the beach and Boscombe town centre.

Located right next to the Squirrel Cafe, the course is a 'must do' for old school mini golf fans who aren't fans of having to negotiate obstacles and want to practice their putting.

The cheapest golf course on our list, it costs just £4.20 for adults, £2.80 for under 16s and just £13 for a family of five (two adults and three children).

Mighty Claws Adventure Golf, Bournemouth

Bournemouth Echo:

Come face to face with near life-size dinosaurs as you navigate your way around this 18 hole course.

Mighty Claws opened at Bournemouth's Playgolf at the end of May and is a dinosaur-themed course inspired by Dorset's Jurassic Coast.

Open all year round except Christmas Day from 9am and 9.30pm everyday, (last round is 45 minutes prior to closing).

It's the priciest course in our round-up with entry costing £6 for children, £9 for adults and £25 for a family of four.

It's also wheelchair and pushchair friendly.
