WE’RE giving away two pairs of tickets to the premiere of a powerful horror film thought to be the first feature made entirely in Bournemouth.
K-Shop is a clever and bloody take on Britain’s binge drinking culture – and a modern version of the Sweeney Todd story.
Shot in the centre of Bournemouth, the film was made by local company White Lantern Film and is released by Bulldog Film Distribution.
The 18-rated film gets its premiere at Bournemouth’s Odeon cinema on Monday, July 18, with a 6.30pm reception and 7.30pm screening, with cast and crew including Harry Reid, who plays Ben Mitchell in EastEnders and Ewen MacIntosh, aka Big Keith in The Office..
If you’re not lucky enough to win tickets to that, there is a public screening plus a Q&A with writer-director Dan Pringle the following night, Tuesday, July 19, 7.30pm.
There may be further screenings in response to demand. The film is released on DVD, Blu-ray and online services on the weekend of July 22.
To be in with a chance to attend the premiere, email digital@bournemouthecho.co.uk, using the subject line “K-Shop competition” and including your name, address and phone number.
The first entries out of the hat on Friday, July 15th, will earn a place at the premiere.
