SUPERHEROES taking part in the Julia’s House Night Walk are likely to turn green with envy when they see little Eiden McDowell’s costume.

The plucky two-year-old’s mum has commissioned a special outfit for him to wear at the big fundraising event at Bourne-mouth seafront on May 3.

Sprout, as he is affectionately known to his family, will be transformed into ‘SuperSprout’, thanks to a bright green onesie complete with logo, cape and yellow Superman-style pants.

The tiny tot, who receives care at the hospice and in his own home, is a SWAN – one of a small number of children who have a condition so rare, there is no official diagnosis, hence Synd-rome Without A Name.

He will be joined on the walk by big sister Katinka, five, wearing a princess outfit, plus mum Sasha and dad Simon dressed as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The children’s hospice charity is hoping people will rally behind the families and friends taking part in the walk, particularly as it is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.

There is the choice of a three or five-mile route along the seafront, setting off at 10pm, making it early enough for children to join in the fun.

“As a family receiving the support of Julia’s House, I could go into great detail to say how much of a difference it makes to our lives but to show how much it makes a difference, we will be donning our costumes and joining in to raise funds so other people can receive the same care,” said Sasha.

“Julia’s House can’t provide its vital services without fund-raising.

“Only 10 per cent funding comes from the government.”
