HEADLINING this year's Christmas season of shows, films, concerts and event cinema will be the fourth fabulous year of the Regent Centre's very own Christmas Spectacular. This Yuletide will see the Glad Rag Production Company entertaining the Christchurch audience when their magical Christmas treat opens on stage at the venue on Saturday, December 19 at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.

Bookings are already under way for this seasonal favourite but there are plenty of shows to choose from with a run that includes further 7.30pm shows from Sunday, December 20-24 and more matinees at 2.30pm on December 20, 23 and 24.

So, if you want to join Benji and Bruce, those fun-loving polar bears, for another show stopping, all singing and all dancing adventure with Santa, Rudolph and Mrs Claus, then early booking for this Christmas cracker of a family show is essential.

Then get ready for the big New Year pantomime, Goldilocks & the Three Bears, with the irrepressible Highcliffe Charity Players and with no less than ten performances to choose from between January 16 - 23, there will be plenty of opportunities to practice all of the booing, hissing and cheering.

Abbamania are one of the UK's leading international tribute shows and have been performing together since 1998.

Indeed, Abbamania have also performed live throughout Europe, gaining an enviable reputation for being the most authentic Abba sound around. Now the show comes to Christchurch when they take to the stage at the Regent Centre on Sunday, November 15 at 7.30pm.

Abbamania will be performing all those unique harmonies and choruses with the glitz and glamour of the glittering costumes, dazzling choreography and the superb vocals.

Expect all the big hits such as Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia, Knowing Me, Knowing You and Super Trouper. So put on your platform boots, dust off those Spandex jumpsuits and join in the fun with Abbamania.

Agnetha, Frida, Bjorn and Benny may have met their Waterloo but Abbamania will be at the Regent Centre on this month to keep the legend alive.
