Bournemouth Borough Council has lobbed some startling numbers into the debate on the wind farm ahead of the big ‘open floor’ meeting organised by the Planning Inspectorate next week.
The predicted loss of income in the local economy, says the authority, would be in the region of £100m. That assessment will no doubt be challenged by supporters of the scheme.
The process, beginning next week will see the logical arguments marshalled on both sides. And the emotional ones.
