WE have just received a parking ticket for parking outside the gate of our own house for 30 minutes.

There are parking bays in our street, but no yellow lines in front of the gate where the car was parked.

The time on the ticket was such that the warden must have seen my wife entering the house after parking the car. Also, the warden was challenged by our neighbour and informed that the car belonged to the family living at the house outside which the car was parked, but apparently this was of no interest.

In the past I have always been careful to park legally and sensibly. We have parked outside the house in the past with no problems.

It’s not dangerous or an inconvenience to anybody. The situation is bonkers.

I have mailed the authority but to no avail.
