ALL Boscombe landlords have now been tasked to re-generate the Housing and Commercial Buildings in the Boscombe area and this has been put at the top of our priority list.

Something crossed my mind the other day which could help a part of Boscombe which has recently received a lot of bad press lately ie Roumelia Lane.

I was one of the forefront people who asked to have Roumelia Lane changed into a one-way system; this has proved to be a success.

Since the Land Train has been coming up Sea Road Hill from the promenade there appears to be quite a hold-up gaining access to the pedestrianised area.

Also there appears to be a bottle-neck occurring opposite Deacons in Christchurch Road with all sorts of manoeuvring problems.

I have spoken to a few councillors and nothing seems to have happened with the idea of re-aligning the flow of traffic on this route.

We could have a Land Train stop in Roumelia Lane allowing passengers to disembark and browse through the Roumelia Lane shops, walk to the pedestrianised area or return to the land stop to continue their journey.

There is a cafe in Roumelia Lane with outside seating areas providing refreshments if needed.

This could give the traders, residents in Roumelia Lane a tremendous boost of encouragement in the fact that YES we do care.
