IN reference to the recent letter in the Echo, about the Air Festival.

I would agree that it can be frightening and very noisy, but at the same time it provides enjoyment for a lot of people.

By studying the Red Arrows, I can be sure that the selection is very strict, and only the best are accepted.

Unfortunately I saw the Red Arrow that crashed a short distance from my accommodation at almost rooftop height.

It is my opinion that the pilot officer John Egging had a very difficult job avoiding housing on his flight path, as it had obviously lost power, something I shall not forget.

I am sure that we would all like the show to continue in his memory.
