I READ the article “Bosom Buddies” (Saturday August 4) with extreme irritation, and I have no doubt that many other people share my feelings on the matter.
I breastfed my children, and have to agree that it is the healthiest option for young babies, but I always managed to do so discreetly, usually in the privacy of my own home, where I would not embarrass others!
Yes, people do feel uncomfortable when women breastfeed in front of them.
A public park is designed to give pleasure and relaxation to all, and is not the place for such a spectacle.
I am amazed at the selfish lack of consideration these women displayed.
Baring their breasts in public seems to me like mass exhibitionism!
