I JUST wanted to make your readers aware that they should check their post carefully when it arrives.
I recently sent my niece, who lives in Bournemouth, a birthday card containing a £20 note.
Upon arrival, the card had already been opened and the money was missing.
I know that you are not supposed to send cash by the post, but at the same time, surely it is not too much to expect the Royal Mail to be delivered without being tampered with.
The Post Office responded to the incident by advising me to fill in a claim form and provide proof of posting.
I wonder how many residents are victims of this petty crime?
