I TOTALLY agree with Matt Ford’s comments in the Echo; please BSPA (British Speedway Promoters Association) stop meddling with the rules each year as recent events prove that even the match referees don’t understand them.

Please simplify for the future or you will destroy the sport.

It is understandable to attempt to make all teams equal but this does not happen in real life; it’s like saying to Man Utd you have got Rooney and Young the rest of your team must be youth players – it just wouldn't work and it won't in speedway either.

Let teams sign who they can afford, rather than the promoters’ attempts to protect their investments with stupid rules, and please remember we pay a lot of money each week to see Elite riders, but with these rules we see a maximum of four from two teams with the rest of the teams made up of guests, loans and Premier League riders.

Riders like Crump, Hancock, Gollob, Hampel and many other top grade riders do not ride in the UK any more because of stupid rules, hence denying the true supporter the chance to see the top riders.

Please consider the supporters at your next closed AGM.
