BOURNEMOUTH council should not allow the 100-metre weather tower to go ahead.

If it does not go ahead, the Navitus Bay project will not be able to go ahead either.

Allowing it to be built will give a green light to the unwanted Navitus Bay project.

Councillors, rightly, seem wary of supporting the Navitus project going ahead because of the apparent dearth of factual and pictorial information about its size and height. Wind is notoriously unreliable and such projects cannot possibly deliver the unreliable and possibly false expectations put forward. The huge amount of money involved would be better going to persistent tidal development.

Where are the suggestions of British companies?
