SYLVIA Hinves’ letter has prompted me to write as we seem to be suffering in silence in Ferndown.
I work in retail and since the works at Canford Bottom Roundabout sales have dropped dramatically, so much so that all our hours have been cut.
We are clinging onto our jobs – some of us are so desperate we are being farmed out to other stores within the company or persuaded to take holiday, just so we have money to pay our bills and keep a roof over our heads.
We are fortunate that our company understands our plight, but Cllr Wilson has no idea.
