WITH reference to the letter ‘Ban will make us stronger’ (Echo February 21), Warwick Rust misjudges the problem. Humanists and other non-religious council representatives are not attacking Christianity or any other religion.
They are simply asking for neutrality and fairness in matters of faith concerning civic affairs.
It is excessive to call this intolerance or an attack on any religion.
What is wrong with Christians holding their prayers in another room, prior to coming into the council chamber for the commencement of civic business?
