I WOULD like to write in praise of our local shop – Turlin Moor Community Store – which is run by John Donnelly, a very hard working man with friendly, helpful staff.
His wife Karen also runs the Post Office which is incorporated into the shop.
John has run this shop, once called Mace, since the 1980s and has always been most helpful.
This extends to delivering shopping to the most vulnerable people on the estate, myself included, especially when I was struggling to bring up my children on my own.
Even with the competition of the bigger stores, John’s shop offers a more personal service and also stays open later. He has lots of good offers for the kids’ lunch boxes. MAXINE DUNNETT Egmont Road, Poole
