HOMES SCHEME: An impression of the Leyton Mount scheme
I REFER to the article on the Leyton Mount development (‘Car park homes bid gets the green light’, Echo, February 21.
I was amazed to note that Councillor Mike Greene cited that one good reason for developing the site was that “Horseshoe Common has become unsafe”.
Does this imply that our local council and police force are so incompetent that they can do nothing to make the area safe.
Defeatism takes on a new meaning. Roll on the public election of both the new police supremo and maybe a new council!
