THE letter of Danny Daniel from Dorchester (Daily Echo 18th) is quite right.

Poole residents cannot criticise our council over its refuse collection; it has been fantastic ever since we had to recycle.

No one snooping to see if things were in the wrong bin, always picked up even if we had too much in and the top was open, take extra bags at certain times.

Christmas was a mistake, two statutory days only not an extra three days freebees.

We realise they don’t want to pay for garden refuse in landfill, and they can’t afford to give all of us green bins, so let us put it in bags until they can.

Now the black bin will have so little in it, a fortnightly collection should be quite satisfactory and as the government wants weekly collections, tell them we will have – except one week it will be black and green the next week blue recycled – a weekly collection throughout the year with no extra cost.
