It was interesting to read Eddie Mitchell’s comments (Drop in supporters at AFC Bournemouth).on January 24.

Well I am one of those supporters who has only gone once this season. That was the game at home against Sheffield Wednesday.

For me there are other reasons why I have not been since.

Eddie is right. The financial situation is tough for most people, and we have to make choices on how we spend our money.

Also the upheaval and changes at Seward Stadium and the unpleasant statement that you made (“If you don’t like it then go and support Southampton down the road”) hurt a lot of supporters including myself.

Well I did go down the road. I went to Poole Town FC. I have to tell you that I have enjoyed every match I have watched .

They are a great non-league club who are going places.

Yes I am a Bournemouth supporter and always will be, and I will be back.

Also can I make a suggestion, rip out the seats in the North Stand, let’s have our terracing back.

A lot of clubs are doing this. It would also increase the capacity in the stand. I think it would increase the attendance, and also let the kids in for £1 with one paying adult.
