AFTER collecting my weekly pension from my local post office I was sitting on a chair organising my handbag.
This seemingly charming girl joined me speaking of her desire to help those with cancer and of the forthcoming event at her church.
Did I wish to contribute? I politely declined and left.
Shortly after I reached my home two gentlemen from my road knocked on my door.
One of them had been robbed by this same girl and another person had witnessed the theft. After a commotion some of the money was redeemed and the girl left.
Please understand that these despicable folk are about at this time of year and ensure that any cash is kept safely hidden.
One can only be grateful that most strangers are honest and have no need to stoop to such an action.
