BOURNEMOUTH airport may have spent millions recently on upgrading facilities but the other night much was left lacking.
I went to meet passengers from a flight arriving at 11.30pm and, for the first time, went into the new arrivals building.
Sitting down to await their arrival, the lack of privacy in the public toilets is very evident from most seats.
The painted concrete block decor reminded me of 1960s Eastern Europe…less than welcoming.
I (and several others) tried for a vending machine coffee but out of cups was the machine’s response.
A younger visitor tried for a bottle of cola. No response from the machine and the same with the snack-dispensing machine.
I know the airport will say this is a contracted-out service but it reflects badly on the airport overall.
