I DO wish that all of the senior councillors and executive members of the council who made the decision to outsource several departments to Mouchel would have the courage to recognise that perhaps they were a bit hasty in their decision.

That said, the constant talking up of and pretending that it was not a bad decision really does beggar the public’s belief.

Once again may I remind all at the Town Hall of a little used word which ought to be recognised – “contrition”.

UIt would be better not to attempt to over-egg the situation with flowery excuses which can only further alienate the public into contempt.
