I WISH to express my thanks for the articles relating to the A31 and A35 roads around the Charborough Park Estate. What the reporter stated is 100 per cent correct in all respects.

When we had a car and lived over in the Poole areas, I drove various cars along both roads on way to Bridport and back over the years both roads have areas of switch-back roads with Hollows along their length.

The part of A35 road from Stag Gate to Bailey Gate roundabout is very dangerous as I myself have put my life in one’s hand overtaking along that section of road. The evidence is there for all to see with holes in the estate’s brick wall.

Coming back from the M25 towards Ringwood you leave a dual carriageway road and drop down to the outskirts of Ringwood.

Then go under the underpass towards Ferndown and drive along another section of dual carriageway to the roundabout near Sainsbury’s and onto the Ferndown bypass which goes to Canford Bottom roundabout.

The biggest bottle neck in the whole of Dorset then round Wimborne bypass to the Merley bird gardens roundabout and on to Bailey Gate roundabout. Both bypasses do go round both Ferndown and Wimborne.

My wife has always hated the second from underpass to Sainsbury roundabout as it is a mad race track.

The hardest problem in Dorset road system is the A350 from Poole up to Warminster going through lots of country villages on the way.

The roads are not built to handle the size and weight of lorries that use the road. There’s limited ways to cure matters in the end.
