WHY are the council selling off their assets, e.g. Leyton Mount car park, supposedly to use the money to enhance Bournemouth centre?

We know from recent letters in Postbag from holidaymakers that Bournemouth has virtually nothing to offer anyone these days and I tend to agree.

So why keep saying that they need to enhance the centre of Bournemouth? What about the surrounding parts of the town?

I live in Southbourne and pay quite a high council tax, but our roads are not swept, verges not cut and litter can be seen on the streets for weeks.

How about using some of the money to enhance other parts of the town for the sake of the residents?
