I READ with great interest the article of Talbot Heath Plan in Friday July 22 Daily Echo.

Veronica Trevett spoke with great knowledge and feeling. I applaud in writing at least.

As planning inspector Wendy Burden was forced to, as she said, warn the audience on more than one occasion to stop applauding Veronica Trevett, or the inquiry would have to close that night. Twice the speaker told the audience to be quiet.

What she didn’t see was four of the people who want the planning to go ahead were writing on post-it pads passing to each other and laughing between themselves at Veronica.

They were very childish and behaving in a manner of which I was surprised as they were with Poole Borough Council.

I wonder if they would be so concerned if they lived here. The students have been nothing but a blight on this lovely place. Noise, litter thrown into gardens, stones too.

We have come across at least half a dozen smoking dope. Dropping the ends where children could get hold of them. We want to keep as much of our green land where we can before it is completely taken over by blocks of flats, houses and more roads for more traffic.
