GRAHAM Watson, MEP Liberal Democrat, wrote that the other parties failed to vote for an increased target on CO2 emissions. I say bully for them.

We have gone through worries about global warming and when that failed to materialise or impress, it was changed to ‘Climate Change’ which is so slow coming and quite unproved and now we are being asked to lead the field on yet another unproved concern… C02 emissions.

Given that we are already paying dearly for this theory in the way our transport is taxed and gas and power prices have already increased and will increase further, and given that in all the world we seem to be the most concerned about this, I suggest we wait until all countries accept this as a possibility and join in to do something about it collectively.

We are just a pimple, both in size and population, in the scheme of things and it is no good us paying the price on our own while others carry on as normal.

Quite frankly, it is time the constant increase in world population was more of a concern.

It seems clear that if it goes on increasing as it is, it will cause more suffering and destruction than the natural phenomenon of climate change which since the world was formed has just done its own thing regardless.
