I HAVE spent many holidays in Boscombe over the last 45 years and have been sorry to see its decline over the last 10 years.

It started with having people pestering you for your spare change in the street or asking you to buy alcohol for them.

On our holiday last week my daughter felt unsafe taking her baby out at night and was actually followed by a man on one occasion.

We saw notices about a murder and various attacks and the shopping centre seemed to have more than its fair share of rough looking characters.

My family and I felt rather sad to see all this. Add to this the fact that the town is no longer child friendly. If the weather is bad there is no longer anything else near the beach for children to do. It seems that our happy holidays in Boscombe are a thing of the past.
