I MUST be missing something somewhere. Why is there talk of building the ice rink in King’s Park which will mean the loss of playing fields and green space for the numerous football teams and youngsters who run around there, not to mention the car parking space that will be required?
What is wrong with putting it in the Imax along with the much-needed swimming baths? I agree with Alan Gerault (Letters May 6) about the Imax. It is a total waste of money to knock the top off it.
A swimming pool, for fun as well as exercise, would be wonderful for residents and visitors alike, especially when the weather is poor and in the winter too.
I also think the central bus station should go back to where it used to be in the Square.
