SHOULD we not take into consideration the expert opinion on wind farms expressed by other advanced countries before continuing with major projects?
France commissioned experts to investigate a wind farm project in The Montpellier region, the commission advised the authorities that it should not go ahead.
The Guidas questioned the feasibility of the project, the analysis stated that the whole problem could become one of the greatest scandals of the 21st century.
Thousands of wind farms will spring up across the country only to placate those people who don’t live in the countryside.
But when the power companies tire of overpaying for this extremely undependable source of power, the wind farms will be left to rot, their thousand tonne concrete bases as shameful a remembrance as WWII bunkers.
The greens argue that we should put them where man has already ruined the landscape.
Unfortunately, there soon will be very few attractive vistas remaining.
No wonder France has invested in nuclear energy.
