THE residents of Raleigh Road, Wallisdown, are not alone with the problems of their road frontages monopolised by visiting all-day parking, but there are helpful solutions which are available to be put into practice.
A one-hour ban on parking from say, 8am to 9am or 10am, would suffice – and a further similar period could be imposed from 2pm to 3pm or 4pm.
These bans would deter all-day parking from uninvited drivers and their vehicles.
As is customary, goods vehicles would be permitted to make their deliveries if they arrive during the banned periods.
Resident’s permits could be issued – allowing parking in the road to be confined solely to residents is another method.
It is, I believe, operating in certain roads in both Poole and Bournemouth.
