How sad to hear of a plan to build a marina off Hamworthy beach. I recently moved to the Poole area, and one of the first areas I fell in love with was Hamworthy Park.
Why? Because it is an ordinary park where ordinary people can walk, play, picnic or go on the beach.
Whatever they do, the view is stunning and the atmosphere whenever I have been is so calm.
Yet another part of Poole sounds as if it is about to pander to the ridiculously rich, at the cost of access to local beauty for ordinary folk.
Please don't build the marina!
