I REFER to the report ‘In memory of DS Andy Harford, (Echo, February 17)’. It pleased me and other members of my family here in Poole, how Andy’s friends and workmates put on this concert in his memory and to help others with cancer, especially PC Keith Waller who must have had a big hand in the running of it.
Andy is not only missed by his work-mates but by the big family he left behind here in Poole.
Cancer, as we, who have come into contact with people with it, know full well what a terrible disease it is, so when we read about people raising a few ‘pennies’ to help not only people with it but the families and friends they leave behind, it makes us very ‘chuffed’ as Andy would have said. Thank you Keith and members of Ring-wood and the Hampshire Police.
