I HAVE just come back from my weekly shop at Tesco after shopping around the world.
Here are some of my purchases: Potatoes from Israel, strawberries from Morocco, dates from Algeria, spring onions from Mexico, watercress from the US, tomatoes from Tenerife, radishes from Peru, brioches from France, celery from Spain, carrots from Egypt, butter from Ireland, sugar snap peas from Guatemala, runner beans from Kenya, apples from Australia, bananas from Costa Rica, sweet potato from Barbados, salmon from Scotland and – hurrah - clotted cream from Cornwall.
