I’VE read with interest the recent press stories and letters which have appeared about HRH Prince William and Kate Middleton considering asking wedding guests and well-wishers to donate to charities instead of giving them wedding gifts.
This would mean a lot to any charity. It’s fantastic that the Royals are thinking about asking people to donate.
Their wedding has been called the People’s Wedding and so many will want to send tokens of support – but what do you get for a Royal couple? Donations are a great idea and would make such a difference.
I set up animal charity Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS) in 2003, which sends teams of vets, volunteers and supplies to help animal charities and non-profit organisations all over the world. We’ve been able to help thousands of animals, thanks to our volunteers and supporters, but there are many more still in dire need.
