A LOT has been written recently about potholes and ridiculously inappropriately named “speed cushions”, bumps to you and me. Or is this what caused the Policeman to be sleeping ?
Apart from the obvious wheel and tyre damage caused, suspension and bearings take a caning too.
Less publicised is the problem I have experienced with electrical connections, plugs and sockets working loose causing ignition failure, and plug-in relays such as those operating direction indicators to cease functioning.
Repairers class them as faulty and charge for replacements, when in fact once identified they can be easily pushed back into place.
