REGARDING the controversy of the Imax Waterfront building, I understand that many people object to the structure due to the disproportionate height and think it is rather ugly.

Although I am not a great admirer of modern buildings, particularly in concrete, I find the Imax fairly impressive, especially with numerous images that reflect in the glass, and wonderful colours that project from the sun.

I agree that the Imax should have been moderately lower but it would be an extortionate waste of money to reduce the height, and supposedly as a temporary measure too.

I think the Imax should be accepted as a focal point where it should provide various kinds of entertainment and activity, preferably to include a swimming pool or an ice skating rink, so long as it can be used to its full potential.
