YOUR recent article and comments about phrases that irritate people really struck a chord with me.
There are a few that “do my head in” – which is the first one.
“Nice one” – nice what?
“In the loop”, “no worries/problem”, “time to move on” – where to?
“Guys”, when referring to lads and lasses, “babe”, (usually 21-plus), “oh my God”, and lastly “mate” or “pal”, when used by someone you have never met – unless in my case they are a Leicester City Fan.
