I was interested in Rowland Kennard’s letter (Have Your Say, February 17) regarding Bourne-mouth – “the four seasons resort.”
I worked in local government for many years.
In the late 1950s, during my time in the borough engineer’s department I well remember that we had to change the slogan on the franking machine four times a year. I can only remember two of them - “Spring is in the Air and Bournemouth is in the Sunshine” and, in the autumn: “Bournemouth, where the summer never ends”.
